To avoid Heat Stroke and Exhaustion, some helpful tips include
- Drinking plenty of water or liquids, even when you do not feel thirsty. Avoid alcoholic and caffeinated drinks because they can actually make you more dehydrated.
- Wear light colored, loose-fitting clothes and a hat!
- Stay Indoors in the mid-afternoon when temperatures are at their highest.
- Be aware of the warning signs of heat stroke and exhaustion, which include: Dizziness, nausea, headache, chest pain, fainting and breathing problems
